Guangdong Folk Arts Museum

Today we had our Consulate appointment, we didn't have to go along, just our guide who took our paperwork. We had to stay in our room for 2 hours in case the Consulate had questions for us, but they did not and we are all set for the swearing in tomorrow. Then Kievah's Visa will be ready on Friday evening. Only 4 days until we can come home! We are very excited and all ready to be home. Kievah is excited to meet her brothers especially, we have talked a lot about Didi Colm (Little brother Colm).

After lunch our guide took us to Guangdong Folk Art Museum. It was lovely to see the fine carving of wood bone, ivory and stone, painting, and embroidery that this region is famous for. The museum is housed in a lovely courtyarded building that used to be a private family temple. I hope you enjoy the pictures.

Kievah continues to do very well. Right now she is singing along to a DVD with the alphabet song in English - she knows every letter! She loves to sing and is catching on to new Kia-Lan songs very quickly. I think she will enjoy her Granny teaching her all the nursery rhyme songs she knows. She is picking up English phrases quite quickly and repeats me quite often. "Follow Mama" is one of her most frequent phrases, since Chris says it to her all the time when we are out and about. She has some big changes ahead of her the next few days, please remember her and pray that she wouldn't be too afraid, and that she would feel confident in being part of our family.
